John paints a rich variety of landscapes in different sizes using mainly acrylic on canvas, adding whatever other materials he needs to obtain the desired effect, capturing the everchanging moods and light of British landscapes. Rarely including people in his paintings John hopes you experience a feeling of remoteness and ‘sense of place’. Where figures do appear, this is usually to provide focus and scale to the work.
